Our structural engineering practice focuses on the design of hurricane-resistant municipal, institutional, residential and commercial structures, including inspections during construction and the investigation and evaluation of distressed buildings. \\r\\n\\r\\nTKW provides structural design for new buildings, additions, and renovations. In addition to design, we offer threshold inspection, peer review, value engineering, expert witness, condition assessments, and feasibility studies. Our experienced engineers and designers utilize Revit and BIM 3D modeling. \\r\\n\\r\\nTKW offers comprehensive solutions. Structural engineering is one component of our full-service engineering practice. Our structural engineers, civil engineers, environmental engineers, and surveyors will help you through planning, permitting, and government regulation.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe environmental engineering department has extensive experience in planning, design, permitting, and preparation of bidding and construction documents, construction administration or observation, and feasibility analysis for water and wastewater systems. These services are provided for municipal, county, state and private clients. Our experience ranges from design of neighborhood utilities to multimillion dollar pumping and treatment facilities.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe growth and development of any community depends on the capacity, efficiency, and quality of its utilities. Following the design phase, TKW expedites permitting, prepares bidding and construction documents, and provides construction administration observation. TKW has a full team of environmental engineers focused on projects ranging from neighborhood utilities to multi-million dollar pumping and treatment facilities.\\r\\n\\r\\nSome of our projects include: TP Smith WWTP in Tallahassee, the Downtown Utilities Redevelopment for the City of Fort Myers, Airport Haul Reservoir in Lee County, Cudjoe Key WWTP, FGCU Wastewater Collection System, and the FKAA Transmission Main Replacement in the Keys.\\r\\n\\r\\nTKW>s civil engineering staff manages all facets of land development design, from remodeling and expansion projects to complete undeveloped site master planning. Floodplain management is a process that promotes the wise use of floodplains in order to minimize flood risks, reduce losses from floods, protect public health and safety, and improve the quality of life for a community.\\r\\n\\r\\nCertified Floodplain Managers (CFM) specialize in floodplain management. The Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) program certifies a level of expertise in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).\\r\\n\\r\\nThe survey and mapping department offers a full range of services, including boundary, utility locates, and construction staking. Our surveyors use state-of-the-art electronic equipment, including GPS centimeter capability, and software to provide an accurate, high quality product.\\r\\n\\r\\nIn line with the firm>s commitment to personalized service, internal procedures ensure that clients always have a direct line of communication with management and an immediate response to their requirements.\\r\\n\\r\\nTKW has field crews using the LEICA GPS system. Through online office research, we are able to obtain government survey control points to establish a horizontal and vertical control network at the proposed project site. We can then utilize either GPS or conventional surveying procedures to obtain horizontal and vertical datum. This data is then processed through an AutoCAD Civil 3D program and a survey drawing this then created from this processed data.\\r\\n\\r\\nTKW also offers a full range of geographic information system (GIS) services, using ESRI ArcView 10 software. We can analyze and display data and information on maps, we can support your GIS utility mapping endeavors, and we are very adept at integrating GIS files with ACAD files to supplement design efforts or to perform water and wastewater system studies and assessments.\\r\\n\\r\\nState of the art technological infrastructure is considered by TKW to be a key element in its quest to provide excellent services to its clients. To this end, we utilize a variety of the latest available network and server technologies from Cisco, Microsoft and Dell. TKW also incorporates the highest industry standard of corporate software, imaging software, and the latest in Revit, AutoDesk, ArcView and Arc GIS products. All of this allows for seamless interface with all members of our design team, from concept to completion, both in the office and offsite. To ensure top quality drawings and reproduction, only the finest plotters and printers are used in our facilities.\\r\\n\\r\\nIn addition to being a woman-owned business enterprise, TKW is a certified State of Florida W/MBE (Woman Owned/Minority Business Enterprise) firm and a SBE (Small Business Enterprise) with many government agencies.
